Kids in Motion is open for in class instruction for the 2020-2021 school year! We are currently enrolling new students.
Voluntary prekindergarten (VPK) is a state program designed to prepare every child in Florida for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. VPK gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school and throughout life with quality programs that include high literacy standards, accountability, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction periods, manageable class sizes and qualified instructors. All eligible children are entitled to participate in one of three VPK program options. The VPK mission is to ensure that all children are intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically ready to enter school and ready to learn, fully recognizing the crucial role of parents as their child’s first teacher.
Kids in Motion offers school year VPK instruction (540 hours) to all qualifying children. Children must live in Florida and be 4 on or before September 1 of the school year they enroll. Kids in Motion offers free VPK from the hours of 9:00am to 12:15pm. Free Lunch Included! We follow all Broward County Public School no school days and breaks.
Free weekly swimming lesson included! We have an indoor heated pool for year round instruction. All instructors are Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certified.
Kids in Motion offers wrap around care for families that need before and after care for their children. We offer two wrap around care programs to suit your needs.
Here at Kids in Motion, we value our parents. Establishing a partnership between teacher, front office staff, and parents is a high priority. Parents are essential in their child's education and developmental needs.
We offer many family participation events throughout the year which include, but are not limited to, a Thanksgiving lunch, Winter performance, Mother's Day breakfast, Graduation and End of Year performance. Parents are encouraged to volunteer for events such as our Halloween Costume Parade and as a Read for the Record Guest Reader. Children also enjoy social events throughout the year where parents can sign up to bring goodies requested by the teacher.

Kids in Motion participates with the Florida Department of Health Childcare Food Program to serve quality and nutritious meals and snack to student. Children attending Kids in Motion VPK Wrap Around full time are served Breakfast (served between 7:15am-8:00am,) lunch, and an afternoon snack. Our meals are planned around the likes of the children that attend our center. We strive to keep our menu filled with fresh, flavorful options.
We believe meal times are an important part of the overall learning experience, so much so our teachers join our students during meals. We teach and positively reinforce children proper hand washing techniques, table manners, and discussing the colors, tastes and other aspects of each meal with our students.
